Cask HD060 is a very special release. Initially aged in 5 twenty litre ex-sherry casks that had previously contained Mackey Triple Distilled Whisky, this whisky has spent the past two years finishing in a one hundred litre bourbon cask.
Nose
Soft delicate nose with chewy toffee notes and gentle oak character.
Taste
Sweet Columbine toffee upfront. Big luscious malt building quickly across the palate, then wraps around the tongue, filling the mouth with floral and fruit and yummy shortbread notes.
Exciting with wonderful depth of character. Balanced with a long satisfying finish.
