Hunnington Triple Distilled Single Malt Whisky - Cask HD019 Spanish Sherry cask

Cask HD019 is the latest release of our triple distilled single malt. It was aged a little over two years in a thirty seven litre Spanish Sherry Cask. (Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez)

There are only 81 500ml bottles. Its alcohol strength is 45.3%.

Nose
Caramel and shortbread greet the nose in a soft and gentle expression. It is clean and pleasing to the nose with alcohol driving the biscuit notes at the back promising a beautiful whisky.

Taste
Wow. The nose didn’t disappoint. The palate opens with a generous, well rounded whisky which instantly wraps around the tongue and mouth. Oak plays a delicious part in this whisky which melds into one of malt and soft wood notes. The palate is beautifully balanced between sweetness, lusciousness and satisfying alcohol. The long finish is a most satisfying reflection of the whisky. This whisky should receive a perfect score across tasting experience from nose to finish. A whisky for Tasmania to be proud of. Well done David. 10/10.
