Hunnington Triple Distilled Single Malt Whisky - Cask HD004

This is our triple distilled single malt. It was and for two years in a twenty litre Australian Sherry barrel. There are only 44 bottles available from this cask. Its alcohol strength is 45.4%

Bill Lark was, once again, kind enough to write some tasting notes for us:

Nose

Good clean soft nose - buttery malt with hints of wood and herbs then “sherry” toffee taking over. 

Taste 

A balance of sweet notes and slightly drying marzipan immediately delight the front palate before quickly building - big, bold and well rounded around the mouth and driven across the palate by a well balanced sense of alcohol.

The whisky then gently slips into a finish of creamy fruit pastille and lingering malt.
